For Philip Matogo and Fasihi Magazine
By Steven Curtis Lance
Some of us choose to build castles in the air
From nothing to lose though who is to say
Whether or not they are actually there
Acting to enact them anyway
Aspiration transcending limitation
By ending up creating something new
Making the best of a bad situation
Taking a chance a dream might come true
Though it seems impossible I know that I
Am quite possibly ending up up there
Spending more time in my castle in the sky
Where the view from there is everywhere
Reflecting from this perspective I can see
What to expect now is how I got through
Hell by doing pretty well at being me
Seeing I knew what I had to do
Living up not giving up is how I say
What I learned the hard way going through it
Now all of a sudden becoming someday
All I know to do is to do it
So I do it building more castles for you
Where we can share our anticipation
Through limitation in expectation of
Something better in the name of love
In the air so many of us anywhere
Sharing together our aspiring to
Not only be but extraordinarily
Aspiration as inspiration
In an opportunity too good to miss
We can imagine our way out of this
