Evania, Evania will you ever find peace
Wallowing and wailing for weeks
The loss of a child is a loss to the nation
Even without knowing the infant
The pain affects us all
A miscarriage is a miscarriage
It’s like breaking your pot by the door step
Being too close to a dream and not achieving it
It’s like the jinx of near success syndrome
Missed dreams, missed opportunities, missed dreams
You said the pain was selfless and didn’t feel temporary
One can actually be a mother in many ways
They said when a child is born an ancestor has returned
Evania, Evania, Moonflower will you ever find peace.
Evania, Evania will you ever find peace
Wallowing and wailing for weeks
The loss of a child is a loss to the clan
Why should a woman be denied something’s
Help me understand why it’s not easy for all
A miscarriage is a miscarriage
Embodying an offspring away from the cradle
Failing to have a copy of ones self-running around
She saw her daughters as charming as sunshine
She saw her sons as delightful as moonbeams
Our sage keeps her head bitterly buried in the sand
Would we pacify her walling and weeping for weeks
Time heals all wounds but pricking pain transcends time
We erase every external force making you feel worthless
You said the pain was fearless and didn’t feel temporally
One can actually be restored in so many ways
They said motherhood is a beautiful promise woven for all
One can actually be a mother in many ways
Evania, Evania, Moonflower will you ever find peace.
