Is Life a Battlefield poem by Ama Poetry about life's recurring struggles

IS LIFE A BATTLEFIELD?

By Ama Poetry

Why does life sometimes feel like a battle that never truly ends? In Is Life a Battlefield?, Ama Poetry captures a quiet moment of reflection after enduring one struggle after another. In just a few lines, the poet turns to a father with a simple but deeply human question: if another battle always seems to rise after the last one is fought, are we living—or merely surviving one battlefield after another?

Sometimes, I sit back
And ask myself this question:

Why is it that after every battle
I fight and finish,
Another rises?

Dad,

Is life a battlefield?

Ama Poetry, the poem touches me deeply as a father, because every child deserves a parent to answer such a heavy question.
Look, this poem captures the exhaustion of fighting alone and the quite cry for guidance that our children carry. It reminds me that parental presence matters more than perfect answers. I am greatly moved by the honesty here, and challenged to be a father who listens.
Well written, Ama Poetry – keep asking, keep writing.

The poem also resonates with us young adults because it honestly tells us why life’s struggles keep resurfacing even when we have excelled in school. Well said, Ama Poetry! Just can’t wait to read another poem by you.
